the performers are by my guessing about 75-80% conservative to some degree which is largely a product of the fact that they are southerners and mountain folk mainly.
the songwriters are more likely to be libs from what I've gleaned than performers unless performer is both then it could go either way.
the song pushers who go out and really push the songs to the artists and producers and record companies for the publishing houses are usually young pretty and ambitious and apolitical.
Toby Keith is not a favorite of the middle aged female liberal sitting at her desk mid level at a label. These women think they prefer Vince Gil (a fine fellow)
