My personal connection was Kearn Cottingham, an engineer at Loral Aerospace who was to appear before a congressional committee on the China secrets scandal. He was found dead in the bushes in Palo Alto, California of "natural causes" yet he was healthy and in his 30s to 40. When I had a friend at the local police department check on the file, the file was missing. The newspaper that published his death notice has pulled it from the public as well.
Bear in mind ProRev is ( in my view ) left-wing... and I actually mean that in a positive sense. I do occasionally refer people there.
I wonder if anyone ever did a mortality rate study on the close friend or confidantes of these folks?
any actuarians out there to take a statistical stab at this?

Same thing with women. I never heard of ANY woman "speaking" out on rapes, assaults or even consensual sex with President Bush and women were coming out of the wood work to impeach Clinton's character (as if he ever had any).
