Former Vice President Al Gore was to call for the resignation of Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and several other Bush administration officials in a scathing attack on the presidents foreign policy Wednesday, people familiar with the speech told The Associated Press.
In a speech at New York University, Gore was to argue that several officials, including National Security Adviser Condoleeza Rice, CIA director George Tenet and a top military leader should step down because the situation in Iraq is out of control.
He was expected to place blame for the Iraqi prisoner abuse scandal directly on the Bush administration officials, who he believes put in place policies of dominance and the disregard for the policy of law, said a source familiar with the speech, speaking to the AP on condition of anonymity.
Gore was to claim that those policies are what led soldiers to abuse prisoners, and that top officials are therefore responsible for the scandal.
Gore was also expected to go after President Bush, arguing that his foreign policy has alienated the United States and put Americans in danger.
The speech was one of several Gore appearances sponsored since August by MoveOn.org; the liberal interest group also has a television and radio ad calling for President Bush to fire Rumsfeld.
In January, Gore attacked the Bush administrations environmental policies.
It raises some questions.
Gore is canned. Out on his ass, and out of luck. When will they stop listening to this LOSER? What a maroon...
>Where he's speaking is close to Belleview Hospital ... he needs to watch out for the men with the butterfly nets!<
Oh, boy! The opening for which I've been waiting (drum roll)...
Remember when you ran away
And I got on my knees and begged you
Not to go because I'd go berserk?
WELL,
You left me anyhow and
Then the days got worse and worse
And now you see I've gone completely
out of my mind,
AND
They're coming to take me away,
Haha, they're coming to take me away,
Ho ho, hee hee, ha ha,
To the funny farm
Where Life is Beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see
Those Nice Young Men
In their Clean White Coats
And they're coming to take me AWAY,
HA HAAAAA
You thought it was a joke,
and so you LAUGHED, YOU LAUGHED
When I had said that losing you
Would make me flip my lid,
RIGHT?
You know you laughed.
I HEARD you laugh, you laughed
And laughed and laughed
And then you left,
And now you know I'm Utterly Mad
AND
They're coming to take me away,
Haha, they're coming to take me away,
Ho ho, hee hee, ha ha,
To the Happy Home with Trees and Flowers
And Chirping Birds and basket weavers
Who sit and smile and
Twiddle their thumbs and toes
And they're coming to Take me Away,
HAHAAAAAAAAA
I cooked your food,
I cleaned your house,
And this is how you pay me back
For all my kind unselfish loving deeds
HUH?
Well, you just wait,
They'll find you yet,
And when they do, they'll put you in
the ASPCA, you mangy MUTT,
AND
They're coming to take me away,
Haha, they're coming to take me away,
Ho ho, hee hee, ha ha,
To the funny farm
Where Life is Beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see
Those Nice Young Men
In their Clean White Coats
And they're coming to take me AWAY,
HA HAAAAA
They're coming to take me away,
Haha, they're coming to take me away,
Ho ho, hee hee, ha ha,
To the Happy Home with Trees and Flowers
And Chirping Birds and basket weavers
Who sit and smile and
Twiddle their thumbs and toes
And they're coming to Take me Awaaaaay

Interesting ... About Jeb Bush's Excuetive order before http://www.state.fl.us/eog_new/eog/orders/...1-09-07-01.html Very Very suspicious
.. I hope Fahrenheit 911 explains some of this ... I also hope the Take back the media clip on Bush in the Sarasota Elementary school is also dissected in the movie... http://www.takebackthemedia.com/true911.html
Gore was to argue...
He was expected to place blame...
Gore was to claim...
Gore was also expected to go after President Bush
Um...What happened? Did he change his (hahahaha) mind? Did he get pulled off the podium? Did somebody else make the speech? I'd like to say the suspense is killing me, but it's just making me sort of drowsy, instead...
In the words of Jimmy Buffett, "That's the plan, baby!"
Hmmmmmm. Wouldn't we all feel better with these clowns at the helm? LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!
*hiccup*
