Notice the switch from a specific number to a nebulous fraction. If they know the ratio of lesbian households with a child under 18 (how old are those "9 million children" anyway?), why didn't they use the figure? One would assume it must be a miniscule minority.

The fragility of these families was recently brought home on a story line of the television show "ER"...

The only example the reporter could come up with is a TV episode? No real-life examples? No attempt to mislead here.

When a judge declared the adoption "provisional," Gelnaw had to fly back several times for follow-up interviews. "...I had to prove I was a fit parent.

Wouldn't proving one is a fit parent be normal for an adoption proceeding?
