"This is no different than what happens at a (college fraternity) initiation. And we're going to ruin people's lives over it and we're going to hamper our military effort ... because (the soldiers) had a good time. You ever heard of emotional release? You heard of the need to blow off steam?"
-- Radio commentator Rush Limbaugh on the Iraqi prisoner torture scandal.
Those comments probably shocked few of Limbaugh's 20 million listeners. Today, with the release of these pages -- reputed to be culled from Limbaugh's personal college schedule -- it's far easier to understand why. We can only speculate as to the authenticity of the following excerpts:

Please don't flame me. I'm just the messenger.
Guess he doesn't know that Rush never went to college......
Rush didn't go to college did he?
LOL!
This 'reporter' didn't do a fact check before spewing.
Typical....
When did the Pitts Tribune start hiring college sophmores to write for them?
Rush did go to college. He dropped out.
I see you posted it as an excerpt, but posted the full text. But that's ok,
since the source is not on the MUST EXCERPT list. :^)
Black fraternity members BRAND each other with hot irons; that is, IMHO, far worse than anything that's gone on in Iraq.
Sadly, this token liberal isn't the only one.
The Trib is contaminated with a few chowderhead libertarians as well.
Seate isn't the only one lacking research skills. You might want to polish yours a little.
You're hallucinating, dude.
The Trib IS on the must excerpt list,
and I DID post only an excerpt.

I doubt very many were shocked by Rush's stating the truth. Only the liberals tried to shout it down because of their blind partisanship.
I think Rush went to college, and dropped out. He never had a lot of respect for it.
He always says that it is not education that gets people places, it is passion for what they do.
He doesn't denigrate education, but thinks it is enshrined by too many people as the only way to success.
But then, I probably didn't catch the little winky-face at the end of your statement!
As to Rush's comment that some of the abuses were no worse than what occurred at a "Skull And Bones initiation": What an awful lot of commentators jumping on this remark DON'T seem to understand is just what DOES reportedly occur at "Bonesmen's" initiations -- or at least DID occur in decades past. Very, um, racy stuff.
Do a search for Parris Island in the headline.
I posted earlier, we went through about as much abuse in Boot Camp as these inmates did. except for a sodomy part...
