If "we" are hypocritical enough to sanctimoniously point fingers at other religions while being blind to some of the downright sick and twisted scripture in our very own KJV (sanctioned by "The REAL God tm" of course), then "we" must be pretty stupid indeed.

Trollspew at post 104.

I'm not going to get into a theological back and forth with you on the old vs. new Test. of the bible..suffice it to say you have very little knowledge of the bible (less then me obviously) and are only posting nonsense to inflame. So be it, but its easily seen through.

-The problem I have with these types of arguments is that Christians are called to preach the Gospels and to covert non-believers and have been doing so for 2000 years.

Not five times a day on loudspeakers.

You consistently espouse islam on this forum. It's not appreciated.

I have never espoused Islam. I have corrected many factual mistakes by posters here, but that's it. Your bigotry makes you see anyting non-negative about Islam as praise, and you don't like that.

So when did this become a Christian forum anyway? Long ago when I first started lurking here I read the mission, and it was about restoring rights and returning to a limited constitutional government. The only place religion is mentioned is in that the rights were "God given."

According to the Constitution, those Muslims have every right to be here. Our justice system will deal with those who do not follow the law, and our communities will hopefully deal with them if they get out of line, as they deal with anyone else who does. Unfortunately, the community has so far failed in this case.

Again, I am not Christian. And again, would we have allowed Nazi recruiting camps during WW2?

We can't let the enemy fester here, sorry.

But for people, specifically Christians who have been pushing Christianity on others for centuries, to say that they shouldn't have to listen to this or that because it's not their religion is hypocritical.

You are being deliberatly obtuse and I have to wonder why.

I don't care if they proselytyze; freedom of religion doesn't involve VOLUME.

What I have found is that because of Christian tradition made into law that everyone must obey...

Just because some Muslims call other Muslims to prayer and you can hear it doesn't mean you are being indoctrinated into a religion.

Wow... dat was quick! I have a mental image of a moderator twirling a smoking sixgun, then dropping it neatly into a hand-tooled leather holster. :-)

A of course. However, trying to shake off a Mormon or Jehova's Witness can be a bit tougher.

If they want to call people, let them use the phone.

"Achmed?! Abdul?! Can you hear me now?"

What laws? Is there a law that says all businesses must be closed etc...? Not that I've seen. Sure, some places still have Blue Laws, such as no buying alcohol on Sundays, but those are laws that can always be changed by the community if they tire of them or want change.

It must be rough to see religious persecution behind every tree.

LOL!! Y'know... there *are* cell phones which have the "call to prayer" and "point the way to Mecca" functions. No shiite.

What I said stands, and I really wish fr had an ignore user option so I didn't have to see you supporting the tool of our own destruction.

Support? I don't even like Islam!

Anyway, as much as I'd like to have it too, an ignore feature is death to a good discussion system because people would just be reading what their friends say, all agreeing all the time. The fun and learning comes from people with differing views.

That is the truth. I deal with those in a nice way, though. I invite them inside and ask them if they've ever considered converting to The Church Of Satan, turn on the stereo with Black Sabbath playing, and ask them if they'd like some kool-aid...

The whole process usually takes about 4 minutes, tops, and they bail.
