Generation Ecch!

written by Jason Cohen and Michael Krugman.

comix by Evan Dorkin

published by Simon & Schuster, 1994.

This is one of the most bitingly satiric looks at the cultural wasteland that was the decade called, "the 90s."

I'll let you nibble on just one quote that proves its coauthors prescience:

But what does it matter? With anti-incumbent fever crossing generational boundaries, Ecch is likely to rule over a time of single-term presidencies, continuing in 1996. The president is so overexamined at this point that it's impossible for him to do anything right. The Republicans, having gotten over the maniacal xenophobia of the '92 convention, should change strategies and capitalize on this by running Bill Clinton against himself in '96.

Okay, so that wasn't the best example.

You really need to read it for yourself.

Believe me, it'll be worth your time.

OK, I'll PENCIL it in on my wish list--although does one get around reading an author named Krugman, published by Simon & Schuster? More investigation will be in order...
