Pull your head out of your fourth point of contact son, you simply have no grasp of reality or of the pragmatic. As far as the lower casualty count, go back to the statistical database for the Vietnam war in 1958 (our second year there) and you'll see the body count for the year - 2.

What I said, and I reiterate, is that the level of committment the insurgents have far exceeds their losses (just like the Viet Cong during the height of the conflict). This is always a losing proposition. Want proof? How in the hell did a ragtag group of mujahdeen get the best of the Soviet Union in Afghanistan?

Now go back to your dorm room a suck your thumb.

Oh, geez, I'm sorry, another "can't hack it in combat arms so I ran screaming into 'intelligence' because I'm so smart" veteran. Intel pukes make me sick. Don't get me started on the crap I saw at various Field Stations around the world, REMF.

US aid?

Say, I wanted to ask you a question. When funding/authorization was cut off by the democrat Congress, how close was Hanoi to surrendering?

As you know, very helpful summary of Mr. Bush's speech. I did not have the chance to watch the whole thing. Of the parts I heard, the man sure can deliver a speech. I get more confidence in our government just watching him.

To your other points: "ELABORATE on SUCCESSES" and provide specifics. I couldn't agree more. What better way to obtain even more support. Many of the Democrats opposed to the war would be enjoyably silenced when all the successes were described in detail.

-- and 37 countries and the IMF and the World Bank have so far pledged $13.5 billion in aid. America has dedicated more than $20 billion to reconstruction and development projects in Iraq.

Still going it alone eh President Bush? /sarcasm

He's even brought the UN in -- to pick the interim government. The only ones he hasn't included are aliens from other planets.
