I'm so tired of watching serious discussions devolve into a shouting match.

I fully agree. I get so tired of watching the shouting matching. They are more on the level of a Jerry Springer Show. Some hosts lose control. They don't realize how much of a waste of time those shouting matches are. I quit watching some of the cable news just for that reason.

That's why I quit watching Hannity & Colmes. Nothing but a shouting match.

You are absolutely correct about shouting matches. It's almost like watching a wrestling show. Even if the discussion is civil, the moderators will hardly challenge any outrageous statement by one side.

The No Bullsh*t News will be different. One of the boldest ideas will be that it will take a position on fact and expose fiction thru the best journalistic and scientific principles. It will do so thru quality research. Additionally, it will have a website with a history of its findings.

Your concerns as to the type of discussions that you see is attributable to the type of guests that are on the shows. As noted in Rule 1, we will not have on spin doctors or people who spout garbage.

Besides the shouting matches on pilitical shows is the real culprit:
commercials!!!
On those rare occasions that a super-knowledgable guest speaks, they are lucky to get 4 sentences in before the ol sorry, we're out of time bit.
That really angers me when we need good info and get it rarely.
