Kerry is an upper-class (parvenu, but still upper class) leftist

If Monsieur Jean de Hanoi had been in the French Foreign Legion

I think this Bush hatred is going to keep a lot of left leaning voters home in November.
They hate bush so much but the though of Kerry is so sickening they may sit it out.

If questioned by the press about the fall W would laugh it off.According to this story about Bush's fall, he actually posed and gave photographers a chance to take pitures of his abrasions.

Actually, W mistook Helen for an large horny toad.

How convenient that the story lies about Kerry's comments. Leaving out the training wheels crack.

Is this the same John Kerry who fell off his bike just after running over a Secret Service agent with a snowboard and calling him names?

"Kerry takes spill from bike"--Hah! I was hoping someone would bring that up. If Kerry loses the election, can we say his training wheels (courtesy of the Heinz fortune) fell off?

"It was a normal day on the bike path until the President rounded a corner and saw Helen Thomas roll in front of him. While she blended well with the craggy rocks and cactus, the movement startled him. He took the high road and fell off his bike rather than injure himself more severly by absorption into the cravasses of the wrinkled reporterette."Now THAT is funny!!!!

It is a funny comment.. Just as funny as blaming a secret serviceman for Kerry's falling on his snowbaord, IMO.

Don't be surprised if the president does use that line..."It's not like it's a Purple Heart wound or anything" That's a great line!

Voters will tolerate a great deal, but when it comes to the presidency, being an *sshole isn't tolerable... at least for the vast silent majority. Then how do you explain Clinton being re-elected? Then again, Clinton had more the image of a "good old boy" immature oaf, while Kerry seems more like an arrogant elitist. I can even picture Clinton helping a little old lady cross the street (it would be a good photo op), while Kerry would shove her out of his way (probably thinking, "Get out of my way, lady -- can't you see I'm late for my photo op?"). I hope Kerry's elitist "me first" attitude will show through often between now and November.

I have no problem with someone making a joke about another person's fall off a bike, as long as the person making the joke points out his own shortcomings in the same area. Afterall, Kerry just had surgery on his shoulder for a fall from a bike a few years ago, and then, fell while snowboarding and again biking. Who's the klutz John? And did you go 16 miles of a 17 mile bike trek before you fell?

The Purple Heart comment is a funny comment. It really goes to the heart of comments, so to speak. Ironically, if the incident had occurred in Vietnam during war time, it probably would qualify for a purple heart, if your name was John Kerry. Bush would never say this, and if he did he would be attacked by the media indicating that John Kerry's service to our country was belittled and minimized by G.W. so on ....
To: olde north church; Smartass
Bush should respond... "well, I don't think it's serious enough to warrent receiving a purple heart!" Not worth a purple heart, bump! :-)

Kerry also said " I hope he's OK...I didn't know he rode a bike"...
There's a lot you don't know Kerry...
