Looks like the only people that Moore will dress up for is the Fr*nch. Where's the stupid cap and sloppy clothes?

I hope nobody tells him that I have won this award while he is eating a pretzel. On being told that Michael Moore had won the Palme d'Or in Cannes, President Bush said "Who won what, where? Who gives a hoot!"

Wasn't Clinton on vacation about 90% of the time? I never saw a so-called leader with so much free time.

I'm sure George W. is shaking in his shoes contemplating the popularity of a film given an award by the French....
Remember what George Bush, Sr. used to say when the French criticized him, "Well, you're French." Their apparently still scratching their heads on that one, but it did sum things up nicely.

After winning the top prize at Cannes for his anti-Bush documentary, American filmmaker Michael Moore said he hoped the President had not been eating a pretzel when he heard the news.
A Cannes of Lard?

What does this Tarantino guy do? Never heard of him.
Got to add something though; yesterday I rented a DVD for the first time. While poking around the store I saw a copy of Bowling for Columbine in the clearance bin for $2.99. Everything else in the bin was some really Grade D dreck so I guess that was a clue to the store's opinion of his Award Winning movie.

Sounds about right to me....didn't see it, don't wanna see it...or anything else that tub-o-lard produces.

"....just a plain crappily made film."
It's called a "crap-umentary"...plain and simple. BTW, I've also read reviews with the same evaluation.

I'm not sure Lardo Moore should caution anyone else about eating to much or being careful what they eat.
As for the fact that abnormal americans handed him his POS award big deal.

"I don't think Michael Moore could win anything but a French award."
- Don't be so sure. Visit Rottentomatoes.com where they post all reviews and rank all films according to their critical reception and you will see that, to date, Moore's POC has been been favorably reviewed by 75% of the U.S. critics who have so far seen it. Although they speak of it as a "documentary" none of them seem to be aware or care that many of it's charges have been shown to be untrue or distortions. It's interesting also that the highest praise comes from those publications or reviewers that are known to be rabidly anti-Bush. There's no question that these critics will be urging their readers to see this propaganda piece when it hit's town - and you can bet the timing will be all about the November election.
