Saturday, May 22, 2004 John Kerry's PA House Party Effort Trails the President's in Timing and Participation
HARRISBURG, PA - With today's announcement that John Kerry's campaign organized 60 house parties statewide in Pennsylvania, the Bush-Cheney '04 Pennsylvania campaign team took the opportunity to highlight its strong grassroots organization in the state.
On April 29, 2004, the Bush-Cheney '04 campaign held more than 280 Parties for the President in Pennsylvania, attended by more than 3,000 supporters of President Bush. The Pennsylvania total was part of more than 5,000 Parties for the President attended by tens of thousands of the President's supporters in all 50 states.
The Bush-Cheney '04 Party for the President concept was launched on February 16, 2004, to further strengthen and grow the President's grassroots network of support across the country. Bush-Cheney '04's first National Party for the President Day on April 29 was organized through GeorgeWBush.com, with party participants joining Vice President Cheney on a nationwide conference call. Party hosts and Bush-Cheney '04 supporters were also able to listen to a live webcast of the call and participate in the Vice-President's live conference call briefing. Vice President Cheney thanked the millions of grassroots supporters working on behalf of Bush-Cheney '04, answered questions from party hosts, and provided an update from the campaign trail.
To this date, there have been more than 350 Parties for the President in Pennsylvania and the parties continue to grow in anticipation of the next National Bush-Cheney '04 Parties for the President Day on July 15.
Bush Parties - what a great idea - If Bush wins PA -he will be reelected.
I attended two parties that night in the Atlanta area. One had about 40 people at a suburban mexican restaurant and the other was a private home where they did the conference call with D. Cheney. Much enthusiasm at both.
I believe they plan to have another designated night in July. Check www.georgewbush.com for info or contact your local grassroots campaign. www.georgiaforbush.us in Atlanta.
