Homosexual Agenda Ping - Satinover is a wonder man, compassionate and knowledgeable. He is clearly not a "homopobe" - he is someone who cares about those caught in the trap of homosexuality, and wants to help them get free.

Let me know if anyone wants on/off this pinglist.

Indeed. At the end of the article he states:

In short, the central problem with mother-mother or father-father families is that they deliberately institute, and intend to keep in place indefinitely, a family structure known to be deficient in being obligatorily and permanently either fatherless or motherless.
Still, most will ignore Satinover.

I think we've stated, over and over, everything Satinover stated above and we've been called names, denigrated, and attacked for doing so. I choose to do this because it's the right thing to do.

Doing the right thing has the best reward. Even if people don't like the truth, it's still the truth, and there's always the chance that some people will be read it and be able to change their lives.

The world needs more people who are willing to stand up for the truth of homosexuality really is - then there's a chance that this country (and the whole world) won't go down the drain. I sincerely think more and more people are waking up.

Great post. Another good link of similar tone but targeted to a younger audience is www.thetruthcomesout.com. It's the site of Dr. Warren Throckmorton.

Another note...I found it interesting that Spitzer received "hate mail" for telling his conclusions. Another example of the politicizing of the "truth."

Outstanding. I am most grateful for this compliation. I do wish he had spent more time delineating the case against the fouth claim that homosexual parenting presents no adverse societal consequences.

Here's a recent article that hits on the issue: Are children of gay parents worse off?

I liked the analogy to addiction that was made.

"However, habit is refractory, once the sensory pathways have been blazed and deepened by repetition¯a phenomenon obvious in the struggle with obesity, smoking, alcoholism or drug addiction. ... [H]elping gays to learn how to function heterosexually, if they wish, is a perfectly worthy aim. "

I'm a substance abuse counselor in the Criminal Justice system and a recovering addict myself with 11 years clean.
I know that for many years after I entered recovery I still had intermittent, sometimes even persistent desires to get high but I had learned the tools and got the social support from Narcotics Anonymous to refrain from using. I had the break the desire-action chain and this is the primary hurdle to long term sobriety, to internalize that just because I may momentarily WANT to do a thing, doesn't mean I HAVE to do a thing. This also squares with the teachings of the Catholic church which says that it is not the homosexual desires that is sinful, it is the homosexual acts, God gives different individuals different challanges to overcome. There are some good articles on the subject here:

http://www.wherethetruthhurts.org/tractsbooks.php

Now this guy is a fundamentalist and pretty intense, but that doesn't make him wrong.
This tract in particular is very powerful:
