Punishment and Amusement (Iraqi prisoners were being punished)
Washington Post ^ | May 22, 2004 | Scott Higham and Joe Stephens

The documents show that MPs staged the photographs to discipline the prisoners for acts ranging from rioting to an alleged rape of a teenage boy in the prison.

On Oct. 24, the MPs decided to punish three detainees suspected of raping a teenage boy at the prison. To make the men confess, the MPs stripped them and handcuffed them together. "They started to handcuff the two rapist together in odd positions/ways," England told investigators. "Once the two were handcuffed together, the third guy was brought over and handcuffed between the other two. Then they were laying on the floor handcuffed together, so all the other prisoners could see them. CPL Graner and SSG Frederick then asked me to start taking pictures with the camera."

Also that day, MPs punished seven detainees they said were instigating a riot in a part of the prison outside Tier 1A. The detainees were stripped and forced to the floor.

These are the prisoners the liberal media is having an international fit over: "fine, upstanding" terrorists who are inciting riots and raping other young prisoners. Yep, they are definitely worthy of being defended by the liberal media, so what if it costs American lives, and sets our Iraqi efforts back significantly? (/sarcams)

This will be ignored -- not in keeping with the current "GW must go at all costs" media agenda. They will insist that each prisoner receives a taxpayer-paid attorney (preferably Johnny Cochran), $5M cash, and a house in Santa Monica.

Please, at least not in Santa Monica! I live too close.

Considering that those prisoners were inciting riots, their "punishment" was way too lenient.

In the same article they also complained that prisoners "had to stand for 3-4 hours". How awful, how inhuman! (/sarcasm) I guess all the waitresses, department store sales people, and a whole lot of other people whose work requires them to stand for 3-4 hours are being "horribly abused."

I always thought there was more to the story.
I'll bet ya 20 bucks this never sees the light of day on an alphabet news channel...what really amazes me is how "CBSABCNBCCNN" don't even attempt to hide their liberal bias anymore.

DWI Killer Kennedy Protests Treatment of Rapists

A caller to Rush Limbaugh yesterday was an Army (lieutenant) whose platoon had put 200 in Abu Ghraib including one who had slashed and raped three girls aged 6, 10, and 13.

I am ready to imbed Ted Kennedy and Carl Levin in this prison from an altitude equal to the height of the World Trade Center circa one thousand feet sans parachute--preferably duct-taped belly to belly with Richard Benveniste in between.

Note how silent the media is about just what kinds of people, if I can use the term loosely are in Abu Ghraib.

Some of these dem politicians and leftie journalists are going to end up with uncertain futures.

They have played with fire and should now consider being very careful for the rest of their lives.

Still accidents will happen.

They sure did in Arkansas.

Probably depends on whether the boy was Muslim. If he was a Chaldean Christian, he was fair game.

Phil, that's too good for him. But not a bad start !!

Make sure that Nancy Pelosi gets the same treatment, too !

Oh, the misery! Last Thursday I had to stand 5 hours straight because I had unruly 6th graders. It was hot and humid. I walked around the room in a Un-A/C building with no fans and no air circulation from the windows. Many could not settle down except throw paperballs around the classroom. The principal made the students write 100 times..."I will not throw paperballs in the classroom". Kids think substitues are good target practice, too! The day before, I was hit in the face with a BIC pen thrown by a tenth grader. The JROTC student was recently put on anti-depression medication and I decided not to press charges on the little stinker. But he received 10 day suspension, 40 hours cleaning the cafeteria and write the Soldier's Creed 25 times.

Now we have 9 murders inside Abu...the media will imply that American's committed these acts. What goes on in prisons? It's a dangerous environment dealing with harden criminals and terrorist who wouldn't think twice cutting someone's throat. Guards have to watch their backs. Other inmates harm, maim or kill other inmates. Ever see homemade weapons, you can poke a eye out and cause severe brain damage with redesigned plastic comb. What do civilian prisons do in the states when riots or escapes breakout? The liberal media will make the Abu prisoner's model citizens who got swept up by accident. Didn't you see Grandmama with her poster with her rapist grandson on it...makes your eyes tear up with pity.

Now we know what to do with the detainees -- send them to US schools as substitute teachers.

They'll confess after two days. LOL

Problem is the Red Cross will probably would say it's cruel and unusual punishment to do that to those nice terrorists -- but it's OK for our teachers.

Oztrich Boy, writes..."su contraie it turns out the story is exacrly like looked when it first hit the media" ...

pull your head out of the sand...

From day one, I saw nor heard anything about the three chained together being the ones that raped the boy.
as for your hatred toward those soldiers who committed these actions, it would be better directed at the liberal media, pandering to the Bush-haters and the anti-war apoligists.

the Democrats reactions to these incidents are an OsamaIslamic dream come true.

Yeah, the IRC will say it's okay to abuse substitute teachers because they get a pay check. What next? Give the inmates the keys?
