The last time I was politically active was the 60's, like so many others of my generation. Then, I receeded into the backround as I became engaged in the hard work of building a life and rearing a child. Somehow, I never became re-energized to become active again, especially as I saw how ugly political involvement had become.

So, I here I was in April, an organic farmer in the Pacific Northwest. standing on the edge of the Nation's frey, clear of the debate and,one day, Air America suddenly shows up..

I have planted and weeded acres of produce since then, powered by your show, Randi. You have energised and focused me and many more just like me. Since your first broadcast, I feel as if have I have been enrolled in an honors thesis dedicted to thoughtful, informed engagement in the political process. I sence we are engaged in re-weaving the basket of this country that can carry all of us together.

I hear your weariness on the air. Can I send you something delicious and certified organic to make studio time more bearable for all of you? We grow incredible fruit (melons, blackberries, plums) .

I will put on my earphones on Monday as I get ready for planting and I hope you will again be on the other end.

I haven't done an exact count, but I'm pretty sure there are more people on this thread who are fans of Wall Of Voodoo than there are on Rhandi Rhodes' own website who are fans of her.

Maybe Air America would beat an all "Wall Of Voodoo" radio station, but I'd bet a radio station that played nothing but Wall of Voodoo, Oingo Boingo, Devo and The Tubes would cream The O'Franken Factor in any market anywhere.
