The decision by Congress to keep summoning U.S. military commanders back to Washington to testify about the Abu Ghraib prison scandal is endangering the lives of U.S. soldiers serving in Iraq, the head of the House Armed Services Committee said on Thursday.

"Over the last 24 hours, we have had 66 attacks on American forces," House Armed Services Chairman Duncan Hunter, R-Calif., told MSNBC's "Scarborough Country."

"If you‘re the battlefield commander of Iraq [called back to Washington] you have issues stacking up on your desk with respect to convoy security, surveillance capability, operations, working in this IED problem that we have got, working the force protection problems," said Hunter.

Never question the patriotism of Democrats - there's none to question.

If the Republicans ever become the majority party...oh, wait....they are. So why the H are they letting the Dems get by with all this crap???

Because like the Baathists the RATS are very good at administration.

Republicans are of the attitude of "just get it done." RATS make it so convoluted that only a RAT can fix it. So once they got in office they decided to screw everything up so that only the RATS can make it work.

Picture RATS as gremlins on crack.

'you have issues stacking up on your desk"

Having seen the photos, they might be more concerned with who is doing what with whom on their desks while they are away.

A majority, heck, even a minority of RATS, as you call them, don't seem to have the problem. 40 RATS control the Senate. The Pubs could correct that, but they won't.

Quit blaming the RATS for a Pubbie problem. If Frist doesn't want to use the 'nuclear option,' that is Frist's problem, not the RATS problem. The RATS would have used it their very first opportunity.

The Pubs do know how to run the Senate. Why reelect them? They are relatively useless and 51 Pubs whine that 40 RATS control things.

To these whiners

A “Col Jeesup's rant” I think it's time for Donald Rumsfeld to have a few words with ABCNBCBCCNNandpress:

"Liberals, we live in a world that has walls and those walls need to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? You, ABCNBCCBCCNNandpress?

"I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for prisoners at Abu Ghraib and curse the Commander-In-Chief, you have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know: that prisoner intimidation at Abu Ghraib, while tragic, probably saved lives and that my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives."

"You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at ABCNBCBCCNN you want me on that wall, you need me on that wall. We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use then as the backbone of a life trying to defend something. You use them as a punch line in a propaganda headline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to TV media who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it.

I would rather you just said "thank you," and you go back to reporting the real news. Otherwise, I suggest that you get off that elitist throne, put down the microphone equipment, push away from the feeding trough, waddle your fat ass outta my sight! Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to." Chicagofarmer

Shut the media up and this Iraq war would shortly be over and with less casualities. We can then move on to Iran or Syria.

You got that right! And .. I saw Hunter arguing with "Meek", and Meek was, of course, saying this abuse goes all the way to the top - indicating it was Rumsfeld who should be held accountable. I just turned it off. Hunter is my rep, and you can believe he will be hearing from me with lots and lots of support for his statements to Meek; the guy was just disgusting.

"Why reelect them?"

That is such an ignorant statement. It's like throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

Frist may be Majority Leader, but President Bush gives him direction .. and FRIST DOESN'T DO ANYTHING THAT THE PRESIDENT DOESN'T APPROVE OF. Get it ..??

And .. while you're so busy bashing all the repubs, were you aware that Frist is GOING TO BREAK A PRECIDENT and CAMPAIGN FOR THUNE IN SOUTH DAKOTA. The dems are going to throw a fit over this. But .. who better to tell what it's like to work with Daschle. I for one am going to send Frist a letter congratulating him on this great move, instead of sitting around whining because they don't do what I want.

"Why reelect them?"

There is nothing 'arrogant' in that statement. You are reading something into the statement that isn't there. The point of the question remains: This Senate has the most neutered majority in history. 51 Republicans are stymied by 39 Dems. Why? Don't blame the Dems. If the situation were reversed, do you think 51 Dems would have trouble majority-ing? They sure didn't right after Jeffers bailed from the Republicans.

Take your blinders off. Get the sand out of your ears. Put down the kool-aide.
