The state AFL-CIO is endorsing the bids of Denise Majette for U.S. Senate and Cynthia McKinney for the House of Representatives.
Majette, a Democratic congresswoman from DeKalb County, is running for the Senate seat being vacated by the retiring Zell Miller.
McKinney, also a Democrat, is a former member of the U.S. House of Representatives who is seeking her old job in the 4th Congressional District.
The state AFL-CIO, which announced the endorsements Thursday, is Georgia's largest union with 200,000 members.
The organization cited both candidates' pro-labor policies while serving in Congress. Candidates in several other Georgia races also received endorsements from the state AFL-CIO.

Y'know what the bad part is? Jihad Cindy will probably get elected in that district.

McKinney absolutely will win. My question is, what did they have on Majette to make her give up her seat for an unwinnable Senate race?
Good question!
What the heck......Maxine and Jaxson Lee NEED the appropiate cohorts....She's one who fits right back in with'em...
Boycott the union label!
Gee, the AFl-CIO endorsing a racist Democrat like Jihad Cindy?.....what a surprise.
< /sarcasm >
Didn't Al Gore's mother invent the union label? Or only the song? LOL
I was traveling North on 285 today and saw a sign for Cynthia McKinney Blvd. I nearly gagged and crashed. What the H#$$ is wrong with the people who run ATL?????
