Such polarizing issues are the force behind RepublicanSingles.com, DemocraticSingles.com and SingleRepublican.com, new Web sites that aim to narrow down the online dating minefield to people who share common political views.
"With the war, people are getting more politically minded, especially in an election year," said Tony Sandoval (search), CEO of California-based Terra9 Singles, the company behind RepublicanSingles.com and DemocraticSingles.com. “A significant number of people know they want to find a Democrat or a Republican.”
The three above-mentioned sites, all of which launched in the last six months, challenge the "opposites attract" mantra by separating John Kerry supporters from Bush-Cheney enthusiasts — and operate on the premise that when it comes to finding love, donkeys dig donkeys and elephants prefer elephants.

My brother is a conservative and his wife is a hard-core lefty. These two have had so many problems in the nearly 5 years they have been married everyone is amazed they are still together.
A good thing to put in a profile, "No Clinton Lovers".
My wife has a (female) cousin that is a stout liberal. She is nothing as you described the women you dated. She is witty, kind, generous, joyous, trusting and trust worthy, and generally a pleasure to talk to. I don't know if her political view points ever got in the way of her dating or if she was just never interested in dating anyone but she is 40 years old and is single. I am told she has had only one semi-serious relationship many years ago. Still, I think she is happy with her life.
Apparently this is a case of "Father knows best". ; )

LOL! I know lots of old guys with trophy wives/girlfriends. Politics isn't on their minds!
But..your point is taken, I myself could not bear being with a politically/socially liberal woman. I have several friends who fit that bill and I can only tolerate them in small doses.
