The media will have their come-upins! Noticed Fox had a poll today, in which 60% said the Berg Beheading was more important as compared to 6% who said the abuse scandal was more important. Don't remember what got the other 34%.

Backwoods Home - The Mother Earth News with articles on guns and self-defense. Well, good for the founder/editor Dave Duffy. I fear his soapbox has a limited voice, but I welcome his frank honesty and, especially, his condemnation of the media. An enemy of my enemies...

It was the same kind of liberal/Dem media agenda and smear campaign against Reagan that convinced me to switch from Democrat to Republican.
And I have never looked back.

I know this means nothing to Libertarians, but this so hated Patriot Act is what is helping keep these terrorists from doing more damage here. While nothing can be totally successful when it comes to this kind of enemy, it has helped more than most realize.

If Americas news media can watch this murder and arbitrarily decide to push it aside in favor of more days of near nonstop reporting of the Iraqi prisoner abuse scandal, then they are obviously a pack of lying, distorting agenda-driven ideologues who hate President Bush so much they will stop at nothing to try and force him from office. Well I, Dave Duffy, am a voter who is fed up with your distortion, and you have convinced me to vote for a man I hadnt intended to vote forPresident Bush.
BRAVO, Mr. Duffy!

Good for him!
I have to say overall too, such a policy is smart for libertarians.
Yeah, Bush isn't your favorite guy, fine. Unless you are a "libertarian" who only really cares about drug legalization Kerry will be worse in every measureable way.

Remember CNN stories need to be playable across boarders. Bashing America Stories sell in france, not stories showing the USA is better than france etc. Thus the CNN stories have to be repackable for more markets. CNN is a video wire service not a true news organization.
It is probably why canada fears Fox News. They don't want a free press, the want a free reign of the left press.

A point to consider...as long as the terror threat remains so to will protections against it. So, the best way to get rid of the Patriot Act is to vote for the most serious anti-terror candidate. There is no question that is Bush.
And to consider a bit further. Another 9/11 attack will lead to real invasions of provacy and freedom like existed during previous wars. A vote for Kerry is a guarantee of that happening.

I agree it has done some good, but I am concerned about ANY expansion of federal power. This said, the Patriot Act hasn't resulted in serious abuses of police power to my knowledge (not that it wouldn't under Kerry).
The case for Bush outweighs the case for an alternative candidate.

I used to love this mag. Still check it once in a while
I could read it and daydream about my solar powered log cabin and homegrown food for hours.
Most of these types of mags are very lefty, but backwoods home has a western, libertarian, leave me the hellalone vibe.
They don't promote this back to basics lifestyle to "save the planet", they do it so people can get away from idiots and live their own lives...hehe.
I really couldn't imagine this bunch voting for Kerry to begin with.

You will also remember CNN admitted that they gave Saddam a veto over their news coverage from Iraq, how do we know this isn't true elsewhere???
