Corrections (NY Times Corrects Bush "inequality" comment)
The New York Times ^ | 5.20.04 | NY Times Corrections page

• An article on Monday about the 50th anniversary of the Supreme Court ruling that ended school segregation misstated a word in a paraphrase from President Bush, who attended a ceremony in Topeka, Kan. He called for a continuing battle to end racial inequality — not equality. (Go to Article)

• An article on Saturday about remarks by President Bush at a commencement address at Concordia University in Mequon, Wis., referred imprecisely to protests against his policies. While no protesters were at the actual ceremony, the Secret Service did allow them several blocks away. (Go to Article)

The corrections continue on the page linked. Of course we believe that the NY Times would "mistakenly" imply that President Bush wants to end racial equality. (Wink, wink!)

The SacBee recently ran their polictical cartoon of Bush holding the leash to the naked prisoner. That resulted in a veterans protest and a comment by the ombudsman that the cartoon should have run as a guest cartoon, not as their main feature since it came for Africa. Now, there cartoonist has taken his cue and put this up as their feature cartoon!
