Neil Cavuto Interviews President George W. Bush - Live Thread
FNC | May 20, 2004

Posted on 05/19/2004 11:07:33 PM PDT by RWR8189

If my ears are working correctly, I just heard Neil say that he will be interviewing President Bush tomorrow on his show. This will be an interesting interview, and I think the President will shine.

Neil's show, "Your World" airs at 3pm CDT on the Fox News Channel.

>>FNC has been over hyping their shows. I am lowering my expectations of them in the future, which should put them right around a 3 on a scale of one to ten.

Hate to break it to you - but 99% of the hype was right here, not on Fox. All they said was Cavuto was at the WH, attended an event where the Prez spoke about economic issues...people here made the stretch that "Cavuto is interviewing the President".

You are correct. I didn't watch Cavuto yesterday, and was basing my expectations on what Freepers said.

I will be more cautious in the future. And to the Freepers who misreported this, thanks for wasting my time.

I don't want to stomp on your point, but that no good lying bastard leftist Kronkheit had a lot to do with that too.

That's how I like to spell Uncle Walter's name too.

(Kronkheit = "sickness" in German, for any who don't know already.)

For anyone that missed today's show, Neil's closing:

What Happened to Neil the Nerd?

Thursday, May 20, 2004
By Neil Cavuto
Remember the other day I told you nerds rule?

Now, proof, from no less than the president of the United States (search), that they're also very influential. You don't believe me? Look where I'm standing!

Why, after all, gather some business geeks like me for a presidential pow-wow? I'll tell you why. Because business geeks like me report on business, on the economy, on how we're doing.

Behind our pocket protectors and thick glasses lie influential hunks of burning profit power able to relegate cool economic models to mud by a single whim on the air or a biting comment in print.

So, as proof of our appeal, this meeting today.

The president trying to show that he cares about this economy, that he's on top of this economy, and that unlike critical press reports to the contrary, he is improving this economy.

I just wish my old pals in high school could see me now: Neil the nerd, now Neil-the-invited-to-the-White-House nerd standing on the same hallowed ground as Fox super cool guys Wendell Goler, Jim Angle and James Rosen.

Take that football team captain. Take that all you cheerleaders who dismissed me as some freak of nature. Still a freak, but now a force of nature freak.

Just ask anyone. Just ask ... the president of the United States.

Yea, that's the ticket!

Some days I share your pessimism, but I still have a (perhaps overly-optimistic) belief that the liberal bias and hatred has gotten so ham-handed that a lot of people are "getting it."

Sadly, this should be a no-brainer. But we're paying for a lot of past sins right now.

God bless America.

Please.

"OReilly is slipping - I don't watch him anymore, many freepers report the same thing. The core audience is slipping away from FNC, they are becoming more "mainstream"."

And what is "mainstream"?

Fox News must feel that so long as they are tagged as "conservative", they can't attract any more viewers then they have now. so they move left, in the hope that the rest of the media stops labeling them as "conservative".

Yesterday(the 20th), the mistaken
impression by a FReeper that Neil
would interview Bush was behind
the starting of this thread. Some
of us watched the show AND came
here, eager for the interview.

All there was, was Neil doing his
show from in front of the WH; he
bragged of being inside earlier,
in a meeting w/Bush and business
reporters; subject: the economy.

That was ALL. A misunderstanding.
There never was going to be an
interview w/the Prez.

Bummer!
