Last year Yussuf al-Ayyeri, one of the leading theoreticians of today's Islamist movement, published a book ( available on the Internet) in which he warned that the real danger to Islam did not come from American tanks and helicopter gunships in Iraq but from the idea of democracy and rule by the people.

Ping. Tong would understand...

Taheri's presentation seems to have ignored Turkey altogether.

I found that curious and wondered what your reaction to his thesis might be.

"Islam Is Incompatible With Democracy"

Yeah! But we can help Islamic countries (Or Any Un-Democratic Nation) become democratic and free. We can help the democratization of the world. It is a long boring process but it secures us very well.

It's too bad that we can't turn the tables on Islam by using their religion against them. Offer them a choice: Convert to Christ, or Die. I know that won't happen, because we're too PC, but it would be effective in many ways.

For one, it would show them that we do indeed believe in God, albeit a different one than theirs.

Secondly, it would show them that we're in this to the end - their end - and that we are playing for keeps. Souls, not oil.

Lastly, as my tag line says, by declaring this a crusade rather than a simple war or conflict, we are telling them that we accept their "jihad", and will fight with all means available to insure their demise. This in itself will strike fear into their hearts. They look at us as being secular, weak, and unwilling to kill them all. That must change - they must understand that they have awakened a giant that will stop at nothing to crush them like bugs no matter where they hide. There can be no quarter given, nor asked for.

Those who are taken prisoner by us should be interrogated, and then executed. Their bodies should never be returned, but recycled into raw materials to aid in the war effort. There should be no class considered as "noncombatants" - they don't separate civilians from military, why should we?

Try to imagine a world where Islam ruled the Earth militarily and we were the terrorists (in their eyes). If they were to occupy one of our cities, they would kill everyone. Do unto others, except do unto others as they would do to you. The perceived weakness inherent in our religion (turning the other cheek) is exploited by our enemies. In order to win, we who believe in the side of Good over Evil must commit acts of Evil while doing the work of Good.

We take it they have never heard of "Constitutional Republic" either. Neither have the Democrats or the U.S. media apparently - which is a little odd considering that is the actual constitutional form of U.S. government.

Our world is not ready and doesn't tend to start a war of civilizations and religions again! However I do believe that the next possible World War will be a BIG WAR among different cultures or civilizations!

to those who subscribe to moral equivalence and ostrich-like devotion to PC, yes: it IS news.

You would not believe the arguments I have had over this very topic.

yes, it's as simple as that. that's why islam and nazis are the natural allies.
BTW, if you think it is useful to be an allied with the islamo-nazis, don't miss the puzzle presented to the public for the first time worldwide in FreeRepublic : historic May 19, 2004 - credibility of Saudi Arabia's oil reserves is lost

I have to agree with the writer on his points regarding democracies. By them-selves they are unworkable. They can only work when there is a consensus in the hearts of the peoples as to what is moral, what is right and wrong, and what is decent

One might argue that the first truly libertarian democracy was the Garden of Eden. There was an agreement as to what God's law was and how the founding couple should live with one another. The only real law they had was that they were not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The had access to the tree of life up to that point.

It was only when the serpent entered into the garden and began arguing what IS IS, that confusion and doubt and the appeal to vanity and ego did its dirty work. Loss of consensus, an attempt to reunify(Adam eating the fruit that Eve gave her), and finally the loss of God's favor and banishment.(Loss of community, enslavement to harsher living conditions and a more primitive existence, and further bloodshed and violence, ie. Cain slaying Abel, the need for animal sacrifice to cover sin, ect)

You see this pattern at work with the attempted unraveling of the idea of marriage and family, (indeed our whole judeo-christian heritage in our country) to the tune of smoothed toungued platitudes regarding alternate families, tolerance, and the blasphemous demeaning of Christianity. We have become confused as to what is really right and wrong and the "naked" weaknesses of our loss of faith have left our country exposed to judgment and destruction.

We try to be tolerant of those who hate God's laws by reminding our selves of the constitution and of the freedoms we have of religion. The irony is that those who are Godless have decreed the Godly have no rights of their own religions. These ungodly have again accepted the canard that they can be God and to never submit to any authority but their own. This has created a disunified nation. In the attempt to reunify, the more righteous among us play tolerance games with these wicked folk. These evil ones keep demanding more concessions from the godly in the name of civil unity and tolerance and we comply fearing the loss of country and community. Our nakedness is now exposed to the nations and the very country we are trying to keep, we shall soon lose. Islam may very well be what fills the vacuum. Or, in response to the Islamic threat a new Roman despotic paganism may arise, devoid of real conscience, infected and empowered by Satan himself. Should this occur while America is still strong militarily, the results may be tragic for the entire world.(Imagine ancient Rome with dictators armed with nuclear weapons and lasers)

Islam and its practitioners see the vacuum that has been created in our society. In some ways the religion is reminiscent of the old Mount Sinai religion of the Mosaic code, filled with blood, fire and smoke, and judgment by stoning and the sword.

The book of Hebrews descibes the condition of Christians as having not arrived at Mount Sinai,(where there is smoke and gloom, and laws written on stone), but Mount Zion where there is grace, love and forgiveness and the laws of God are written on Hearts of flesh(The literal inworking of the Holy Spirit into our basic instictual drives and personalities, the daily renewal of our inner man).

Our forefathers had hoped for a Mount Zion society, based on the consensus of free men who were in agreement with what was basically good and evil. They knew that men were sinful and imperfect, but the hope was that as long as men strove to keep "religion and morality"(as Washington admonished) as their highest goal, that our freedoms would remain intact.

Now we are a nation split down the middle culturally and spiritually. Only Jesus Christ can re-unify us and put flesh and sinew on our dried bones and fill us with his spirit.

They need to be converted to Christianity ASAP. (Judaism would be fine as well.)

If they need to be converted to something, why not Buddhism? The world would be more peaceful if everyone followed Buddhist principles.
