The President held a Cabinet meeting this Morning. He met with NCAA champions in the East Room of the White House. He met with Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi where they discussed the plans for the turnover of governmental control to the Iraqi's, and then attended a Sons of Italy Foundation dinner Gala.
The First Lady flew to Oregon where she visited elementary schools in the "No Child Left Behind Program" and then flew to CA to tape the "Tonight Show" with Jay Leno which airs tonight.
"On the one hand, they decry the price at the pump, and on the other hand, they won't do anything about it. They won't take action. Congress needs to pass the energy plan."

I met with azGOPgal and her friend, took them to a late lunch in Chinatown in DC, and then put them on their way to I85 North.

Bush plans to lay out his strategy next week to hand sovereignty to Iraqis and said he expects an interim prime minister, president and other top ministers to be selected in the next two weeks.
