Kerry Open to OK Anti-Abortion Judges

Wednesday he's open to nominating anti-abortion judges as long as that doesn't lead to the Supreme Court overturning the landmark 1973 ruling that made abortion legal.

Of course, I doubt Kerry would even nominate an anti-abortion judge even if he did pledge not to overturn Roe vs. Wade.

Pro-life democrats in states like Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, etc. There are a LOT of them (some 30+% of Dems in Iowa, for example), but they are silenced by the official party so you don't hear about them.

NOW/PP's bark is now worse than their bite. They can no longer paint those who value life more than whim into a little "extremist" corner, the press notwithstanding. Sentiment has steadily been shifting in America. Democrats for Life documents the electoral advantages of the pro-life position. It's small, but shifted from where it was a decade ago, and in a close election...

This is a play to the close Midwestern states, since the extreme hardcore pro-abort states like CA and NY are his anyways. It's actually a shrewd move, even if it is just talk.
