-Snip- Colorado almost had a radio outlet for Air America, the struggling politically liberal network. And it was almost in Colorado Springs, not exactly a hotbed of liberalism. KBCZ-AM (1300), part of a five-station cluster owned by Citadel Broadcasting, signed on for the network but then backed away when Air America began having severe financial problems.
"We were initially interested because of the concept," said Citadel operations manager Bobby Irwin. "It would have been interesting to see what kind of response the network would have had here."

Oxymoron alert! Liberal Talk Radio. They must not be succeeding because liberals don't have as much money as the big corporate rich conservatives who bend the media to their desires. Ok, when Al Franken and Janeane Garofalo are your main hosts, you're going down. BTW, whoever's on right now called the Bush administration whores... Good job... Golf clap...
Oh, there's plenty of liberal talk. The key flaw in the Air America business plan is rather that there is alomost no liberal listen.
This article is so new that Airhead America still has the station listed as "Coming Soon...".
The liberal media machine is all pervasive and is everywhere from CNN, ABC, and CBS on TV, your daily newspapers and weekly mags like Time or Newsweek and from the bully pulpuits of our Public Schools. How does one more facet of an already over-crowded Media Field fare given the facts that Air America is only rehashing the same old liberal lines available in video and print in voice.... It takes imagination to listen without the visual stimulation of pictures, something our childish benafactors on the Left lack. Oh, for only if they could "see" might they expouse another philosophy.
Bump
5,000 watts doesn,t cover much area. About 15 mile diameter. Fairly weak signal.
Hey, its better than the station they are on in Chapel Hill NC. Its the college radio station and doesnt extend beyond campus!
