Not to pick nits...Randy is one hell of a pitcher, no doubt. But...
A no-hitter is not a perfect game in my book. A no hitter is a monumental accomplishment. No argument there. 27 batters and no hits. It takes a special kind of team effort to pull it off.
But to my thinking, a perfect game....that is to say, actual perfection, would be 27 batters and 27 strikeouts. Never been done...may never be done.
If the baseball world wants to use the word "perfect"...then that's where they ought to set the bar. Just my 2¢
