I would be curious to see how this show has aged.

My experience is that you either loved Hee Haw or hated it. I loved it. Still do, TNN ran it a couple of years ago.

I am not at all ashamed to say I watched this show all the time as a kid in the early 70's.

Oh, my God . . . I remember visiting my grandparents in Nacogdoches and having to watch either this or some dog show.
I detest Hee Haw. It utterly lacks entertainment value.

Growing up in South Philadelphia, when I happend along this show, I found it to be strange and frightening. I would assume that I would find it only slightly less so today.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I can't stand bluegrass and "twang," whatever the scientific term might be, so the music always sets my teeth on edge too.

The greatest thing about Hee Haw is that one does not have to censor the show for younger viewers in the house. It is indeed a great family tv time show. I always watched it with my now dearly departed grandpa.

I love Hee Haw! I grew up watching it, Porter Wagner and others in Missouri and Indiana. What a hoot!

Barbie Benton was a Hugh Hefner conquest, I believe, before she became a regular on Hee-Haw.

The musicians on Hee-Haw were outstanding. George Jones, Ernest Tubb, Jimmie Dickens, Flatt & Scruggs. Roy Clark, for example, could play any instrument he picked up, and a couple he couldn't, including the piano. I wonder what he's up to these days...

I hated this show growing up but have been wanting to see it again lately. That and the Dukes of Hazzard and I should be set for at least a good eight to ten years of TV...

They ought to syndicate it, especially the old ones from the 70s, rather than just putting it on video.
That's good stuff.
