Yesterday on (not surprisingly) NPR the entire business and economics news show was devoted to the question of the'Palestinain right of return' debate. One paliwog professor calculated the cost of paying off these losers would be something like $110B yep $110 billion. And of course the only country that could do it wouldbe the US or as he was candid enough to state the 'American taxpayers'.

This is a long but good, hostile analysis of this irredentist crock that the pali's are forever bleating about as they were the only people ever to lose a war and suffer the consequences.

As long as the arabs in the West Bank, Gaza, etc. keep killing innocent civilians and teaching their kids to do the same, the only right these slime have is the right to die.

When they start acting like human beings, they will be treated as human beings. At this time they are acting like sub-human scum and deserve to be treated as such.

Actions speak louder than words.

My grandpa lived in Iowa. He had a big farm there. I guess someone else owns it now and everything, but I want it back.

I hereby claim the "right of return". GET OFF MY GRANDPA'S FARM!!11

I hear my ancestors came from Germany, as well... wonder what kind of properties they lived on....

assuming it wasn't all stolen for one of Suha's shopping sprees, I can't help wondering what these savages would do with the money?

Buy a lot of hardware with that money, I tell you what.

"...Do Palestinians who fled Israel in 1948, and their descendants, have a legal or moral right to return to their former homes in Israel?"

In a word, no they do not have any right to return. It may be that Israel may allow them to 'enter' the country of Israel. However, that is at the descretion of the legal authority in charge, which is Israel.
If persons are attempting to enter without permission, then they can be dealt with according to the laws of the authority in charge: Israel.

What we could do, is take the $ 5 billion each year we are absolutely pissing away inaid to Egypt, and give each Palestinian $1000/year for 5 years..direct payments..not through the corrupt Arafat..

IMO, the Israeli government should open up a necropolis for all so-called Palestinians who wish to reside permanently in Israel.

Unlimited numbers of A-rabs should be allowed in.

I am 33 years old and I have no "homeland". If I want to live somewhere, I have to pay for it. I can't suicide bomb the bank because I can't afford a $250,000 house.

This is a can of worms the Palesterrorists and EUrowimps should probably not go near. It is important to remember that there was not simply a Palestinian refugee problem - there was an exchange of roughly equal populations, as Jews fled Arab countries while Palestinians fled Israel. While Israel has welcomed (or at least accomodated) Jewish refugees from Arab countries, Arab countries refused to integrate Palestinian refugees and interned them in camps. If Palesterrorists are entitled to compensation for abandoned property, it would be hard to deny Jewish refugees the same.

And, once the door has been opened in the middle east, imagine the potential chaos in Europe. Even leaving the Jewish victims of the Nazis out of the issue, imagine if the descendants of all those caught in population migrations, ethnic cleansing, and the like, during and in the aftermath of WWI, WWII, the Cold War, the collapse of the Soviet Union and its satellites, etc., all began demanding compensation for abandoned property. It's almost too delicious to wish upon the EUroweenies.
