Maybe it is just me, but I think Honeycutt was bloody stupid for 1) Leaving the scene, and 2) Taking the robber's gun after the fact.
Because of these two really, really bad judgement calls, you can expect him to be charged for, at the very least, manslaughter. And he will be convicted.
