I said "GI Joe" on purpose because GI Joe was based on a real hero during WWII, Sgt. Mitchell Paige. His story is quite remarkable and sounds very similar to this sergeant.

Of course not, he'll be lucky if he doesn't get CM'd..
after all, he did butcher brave Iraqi freedom fighters who were just trying to make it to choir practice after delivering Girl Scout cookies..
Sarcasm off!!
Give the media a few hours, they'll have this guy tried and shot for war crimes.
I think he should get a case of beer, a couple of good steaks and some shrimp, a baked potato and good crisp green salad. Don't forget the apple pie!!
...and at least a DSC (and a new barrel for the SAW)

Get a breakdown of the military budget.
To: Phosgood
I was at the DLA depot west of Texarkanna recently and there were 300-500 Armored Personnel Carriers sitting in a field since the Gulf war. What kind? If they're of a type not already used there, they wouldn't be much good. Shipping them wouldn't be a problem, but then the Army would need to build the logistics chain, get machanics who know how to fix them, etc.

Unbelievable...and I was impressed by the British bayonet charge.
To: Cannoneer No. 4
But all our paratroopers deserve armored vehicles. I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic, but at one time the 1st Bn, 509th Inf(Abn)(Mech) with the M113 family of APCs was stationed at Vicenza, Italy, IIRC.
Thanks for the ping.

Eight years of cuts by Clinton and 17 years of "No Votes" for Military by Kerry have taken their toll. Ping! True American heroes earn the military's highest honors.

Light infantry have traditionally been used to clear urban areas. That is their job, and what (at one time at least) they were trained for.
