"the sacred institution of marriage should not be redefined by a few activist judges."

I need some help understanding this.  This should have been solved buy enforcement of existing laws but "a few activist judges" who ignore the laws and the constitution are degrading the institution of marriage.

So the reason we're not removing those judges but rather changing the constitution they're ignoring is because.....?

Legislatures and executives sans cojones.

Governor Ahnlod can claim "Hey, there was nothing I could do, it was the Mayor of San Francisco who caused the problem."

The Mass Legislature can say, "Hey, continue to vote for me. I tried to stop it. It was the SJC who caused the problem."

The executives and legislatures of the other 49 states can say, "Hey, there was nothing I could do."

But to the queers, they can say, "See, you got what you wanted. Don't vote for my opponent."

Of course, if you lie down with dogs...

Shalom.
