BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- A civil engineer from the northern city of Mosul was sworn in Monday to replace the assassinated leader of the U.S.-appointed Iraqi Governing Council....
(snip-- skip to paragraph 20)...
"The general said the Iraqi Survey Group, headed by Charles Duelfer, would determine if the shell's discovery indicated Saddam possessed chemical weapons before the U.S. invasion last year. Officials in Washington said another shell -- this one containing mustard gas -- was found 10 days ago in Iraq."

Moreover, the military is saying today, Tuesday the 18th, that the shells might not be well marked. Meaning many shells thought to be just high explosive could contain this stuff and be mixed in with the HE rounds!!! That is a nightmare as it is stored with regular stuff and if that stuff is taken out and blown up to get rid of it, you could also release all these posions! It is there. Now we know it may be UNMARKED!!!!!!!!!!
I'm guessing the weight of the shells should be significantly different, we may need to weigh them before destroying them.
You can bet your bottom dollar the EOD guys have this one figured out. They now know they have to be just that more precise in their assessments of the IEDs before disposing of them.
the assassination was in inside job, probably inked on somehow by that bastard Chalibi.
EOD. Nasty and dangerous job. Don't get paid enough for handling that scrap.
The young radicals (communists/socialists) of the 60s have become college professors, teachers, lawyers, politicians, clergy, news media and the business world elite. They are educating and recruiting our young for their replacements.
"The general said the Iraqi Survey Group, headed by Charles Duelfer, would determine if the shell's discovery indicated Saddam possessed chemical weapons before the U.S. invasion last year". If the answer to the question, "Did Saddam possess chemical weapons before the U.S. invasion last year?" is anything but "yes" or "we're not certain, but it looks that way", then the President needs a new "head" for the Iraq Survey Group.
You got that right!
