Apparently, it was set up as a roadside bomb. Military detonated it. Which presumably released the Sarin gas -- devilishly clever. But also vindication, if it's true.
Note that Saddam's last use of WMD, against the Kurds, employed Sarin gas....

Military detonated it.They were attempting to disable it, and it detonated on its own. At least that's what I thought I heard.
