My co-worker met with TSA today to discuss the security of railroad bridges. The coal fired electric plants are critically dependent on a constant feed of coal delivered by rail. Loss of a bridge could cause exhaustion of coal supply sooner than the bridge could be rebuilt. That means a long term power failure for a region. I have the means of building the necessary surveillance tools to detect and prevent that kind of attack, but TSA has no money in the budget for that sort of thing.

Maybe they need to do some juggling and find some money for that. Surveillance tools to protect America's infrastructure seems like a good idea.
