Only 3 replies, this one was interesting:

Wife, daughter and several others were in NYC last Friday, May 21, for Emmy Award program and noticed very heavy and unusual police action - visited Ground Zero and saw large numbers of police cars parked in the area - at the awards, police were extremely rude, pushy and impatient (even moreso than usual) - trying to get crowds to move on when there was no room to move, yelling at limos and buses to keep moving without being able to pick up passengers - at one point one cop grabbed wife and sister-and law by the arms and literally tried to shove them along to keep group moving - they were outraged, but we figured they must have had some sort of alert which had them all on edge - maybe related to this story

Sounds like they met a scared cop.

Not that I can say I blame him, what he knew and the crowd, who wanted to stand around and be blown up...........
