I'm sorry to hear that your granddaughter has to deal with this JP. Is this a rash she will have all her life or is this something that will pass? I hope she is doing better soon.

Thanks O...weirdly the rash disappeared the day after the ER trip, thus the school nurse doesn't think it is fifth's, I pray not for my pregnant daughter's sake

DOG DISEASE: PARVO [READ LAST SENTENCE]

Parvo can survive in an environment for as long as 9 months. The only disinfectant known to kill Parvo is chlorine bleach. A 1:30 ratio of chlorine bleach in water has been known to be effective for sanitizing contaminated areas. Any area known to be contaminated should be thoroughly sanitized.

Symptoms of Parvo include high fever, loss of appetite, lethargy, and vomiting. There is no cure for Parvo. Veterinarians can help infected dogs by treating the symptoms and dehydration. Most dogs die if they do not receive veterinary attention.

Parvo can also attack a dog's heart causing congestive heart failure. This complication can occur months or years after an apparent recovery from the intestinal form of the disease. Puppies who survive parvo infection usually remain somewhat un-healthy and weak for life.
