At what price per barrel does shale oil or synfuel from coal become competitive?

It is probably feasible now. However, the capital cost of a $250 million facility is a significant challenge.

At what price per barrel does shale oil or synfuel from coal become competitive? I understand that oil sand in Canada (Alberta) is cost efficient at $30 per barrel.

At what price per barrel does shale oil or synfuel from coal become competitive? As I understand it, Synfuel from coal is anywhere between 60-75/bbl depending on who you ask. Shale oil would be less than that, but don't know how much.
