That's what I'm saying. I bought mine last year, but have to preface any conversation about it with 'It's perfectly legal, but I bought an AK-47 last year'. People look at me like I'm nuts, but it's just a semi-automatic rifle, just like the Mini-14 or AR-15 or any other common piece.
