I am also a veteran.
US Army 1965-1086
Viet Nam 1966-1968

While I am not exactly pro-war, and generally believe peace is preferable, I also believe that there are times when war is an absolute necessity - this is one of those times.

I have this nagging fear that the same thing will happen to the returning Iraqi Vets.
I’d really hate to have to beat a few of the protesters upside their heads with my cane.

This display is a twisted, sadistic abuse of our brave soldiers' deaths because it intentionally distorts the reason for their sacrifices and ignores the fact that they were all volunteers who believed in what they died for. If these "people" were interested in truth and honesty they'd first make grave markers signifying the one million Iraqis who were executed by Saddam, and then put the crosses of fallen U.S. soldiers beside them to show what they sacrificed to free Iraq of the tyrants and the world of the terrorists. Politicing their deaths for anti-war purposes is to spit on their graves. And make no mistake about it, that is their thinly veiled intention.

The sheer ingratitude of these cowardly war protesters is astonishing, and is surpassed only by the selfishness that animates their lives. If these drugged out leftover hippies from the 60's had so much as a small clue they'd be displaying these crosses solely for the purpose of SALUTING our fallen heros.

Yeah, not to mention that these crosses wouldn't come close to those killed by terrorism in the last few decades...and 9/11, alone. If we don't nip this problem in the bud, now...we'll be planting hundreds of thousands of more crosses in the future.

I will be more than happy to help you beat them up with or without your cane. I'm a petite female but I am sure that I can beat the living crap out of some of them all by myself.

Here's a copy of an e-mail I just sent to the reporter on the Veterans for Peace article that appeared yesterday's paper and the picture that appeared today in the Ventura County Star. I also copied the editor.

Why so much press for the Veterans for Peace (funded in part by the Tides Foundation - Theresa Heinz Kerry) yet no press for Veterans for Truth (which consists of over 200 vets that served with, under and above Kerry in Viet Nam) that recently released a letter declaring Kerry to be incompetent to be Commander-In-Chief? Veterans for Peace has a very questionable history and most recently prided itself on its actions of civil disobedience in Sacramento. The stunning denouncement of Kerry’s fitness for office by the Veterans for Truth was carried by the LA Times, Fox and several other mainstream media. Why does the Ventura County Star keep pushing the agenda for Veterans for Peace yet not word regarding Veterans for Truth?

Same Kerry crowd that will spit on the returning vets, just as they did 30 years ago.

If they spit on my son, they're gonna find themselves in serious need of a veterans hospital.....then I'll let my son have at'em.

And I will be happy to join you.

Here are a few more choice quotes from Ms Barfield. As you read this, remember she is Vice President of Veterans For Peace, which is yet another Democrat organization that receives money from Heinz-Kerry's "Tides Foundation":

"While Hussein has always been politically oppressive to his opponents, he has never been physically oppressive to his people," said Barfield."

Marching with a sign calling herself a "pinko, feminist, Irish tree-hugger who believes in the First Amendment," ADC Dallas Chapter member Ellen Barfield remarked cheerfully, "If I wasn't spied on already, I should be in the files by tomorrow."

To: kcvl; All

I went to the website - and low and behold .. there appears the name of PEACEFUL TOMORROWS and VVAW (Vietnam Veterans Against the War).

Both of these organizations HAVE DIRECT CONNECTIONS TO THE KERRY CAMPAIGN. The dems are just desperate and pathetic.

That's an excellent idea .. everybody should contact their "right to life" organizations. They probably have the supplies and manpower to take on such a project.

I do more than wonder. I want to see each every members DD214 and 201 file folder publicly aired. If they claim to have been injusred in action let's see the medical report of how the injury occrred too.

I bet there would be some very interesting findings.

I actually use a very nice cane - well, “walking stick”. Aluminum shaft with a brass ball head.
I'm almost eager to use it in its alternative mode.

Are you implying his current band of brothers didn't serve with him, or are you talking about the winter solider hearings?

“His people” were of the Tikrit Clan. Everyone else was fair game.
