MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Sens. Joe Biden, D-Del., and John McCain, R-Ariz.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Sens. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and Carl Levin, D-Mich.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Secretary of State Colin Powell; King Abdullah II of Jordan.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Army Maj. Gen. David Petraeus; Sens. Joe Lieberman, D-Conn., and Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga.; presidential candidate Ralph Nader; Tim Russert, NBC News; Iraqi Governing Council member Adnan Pachachi; retired Gen. George Joulwan, former NATO supreme commander; former CIA Director Stansfield Turner.
It would be fantasy to think that they would mention the NEW Mitchell poll showing Bush leading in Michigan. Then there are the NEW Rasmussen, or NEW Pew polls that show Bush leading kerry and Job Approval ratings of 51 and 52%.
I DESPISE our enemies, both DOMESTIC (dims and the media) and FOREIGN (far too many to list)! THEY speak like Gods, fight like COWARDS, and are CORRUPT and IMMORAL to their core.
LLS
I am shocked that Gergen actually had 2 positive things to say about Bush and the Republicans.
I missed....
What happened with the camera on Powell (MTP).
Tim said Powell's people turned the camera away, and then Tim chided them.
Oh, Tim accuses Powell's press aid of intentionally trying to cut off the interview and Tim's last question.
Tim Whining Alert!!!
JD Hayworth on F&F. He must have lost a lot of weight. Doesn't look like the same guy. Gonna talk about the McCain issue after a commercial.
Russert stated that Powell's press aide attempted to cut off discussion as Timmy asked his last question.
????
I notoiced that too. I hope he has lost wait intentionally, and not because of illness. He looks pretty good.
What was the all-important last question anyway?
Who cares? Probably a "gotcha" type question.
I saw that, too. His press aide pushed the camera away and after some cross talk, Powell said "Emily, get away from me." My guess is Emily won't have her job much longer.
Oh, brother. Julian the Dim on Fox and Friends asking about McCain again.
;-D
We don't need to lose heart over every media wind that blows. All we need to do is remember that this is the United States of America, and we have a wonderful President--probably the best one we could have in these times. He sees that this will be a struggle involving the entire world, and he is taking care of business.
SecDef Rumsfeld didn't suffer from this--his support is huge. Condi Rice put the 9/11 commission to shame. People really ARE sick of this prison story. The Oil for Food scandal is out there, and the liberal media doesn't want us connecting dots to liberal senators and liberal dem donors, especially Mark Rich...but we have the documents and we have the names, and when they are translated, the scandal will blow...
As far as oil prices go, I understood at the beginning of this that Hugo Chavez and the Opec Boys (ought to be the name of a bad band) were going to make us pay and pay and pay. Didn't we all know this? If we didn't, we should have. And we're STILL not drilling offshore, or in Alaska, developing new refineries, and we're STILL allowing huge regulatory burdens...America, pay attention to the REAL issues, instead of the media-directed issues!
We have to frame the issues, and believe me, they are NOT some prison-partying media rats who like to see themselves on film. We have to set the terms of the fight. WE. Americans. The fight is not over how sweetly we should treat the naughty terrorists, the issue is HOW did the media frame the issue?
Our fight is against the media as much as it is against JFnK.
We don't care what McCain says, we don't care what liberal pundits say--we know what we are about.
That made absolutely no sense. I think that Russert really has become delusional. It's not like the question he was asking, hasn't been asked and answered hundreds of times before.
Now that Mclame and Bitin' are on, is there any reason to leave the volume up?
It sounds to me like these are re-runs. Didn't we just see these same people last week? I don't see any point in watching today.
Same old, same old from Biden. Biden is going after Chalabi again. And here comes McCain.
The MSM sure likes to put McCain on in the hope he'll bash Bush but why not give equal time and put Zell Miller on? Or even Ed Koch? They only seek out and showcase stories that fit their liberal agenda.
Levin would charge the crew with War Crimes!
Stansfield Turner...the worst thing to hit the CIA since Frank Church....(although Deutch was close).
When will the Oil-for-food scandal become a media issue?
