OK, everybody
Now is the time!
There are 3 more weeks until the New York City Activism Seminar. Now is the time to sign up, by pressing the magic PayPal link right here:
The e-mail address to use to send your PayPal payment to is nancy2003@sluggy.net
or freepmail me, firebrand, to find out another way to pay (check, postal money order, etc.).
Scholarships and Donations Now Being Accepted:
It turns out that the $70 tuition is a little too high for many of our younger Tri-State Area freepers, and the temporarily unemployed. One scholarship has already been offered and taken, and Tri-State thanks go out to the superb clyde260. If you can help another freeper out, either post to this thread or freepmail me--I will make sure someone who needs the scholarship gets it.
The Details:
Where:
Women's National Republican Club
3 West 51st Street
New York City
Go to the WNRC site and click on the doors. Inside you can see the lovely Lincoln Room, where the seminar will be held, and some of the guest rooms, in case you are thinking of making a weekend of it ($150 for a Queen room; $225 for a suite).
When:
Saturday, June 5
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There will be an hour for lunch.
Morning and afternoon coffee service will be provided with Krispy Kremes in the morning, courtesy of Diotima
The previous thread is HERE
To run down the list of topics once more:
Internet activism
coalition building
establishing your own personal network
rallies and protests
targeted voter contact
public speaking
media contacts
and more!
The group leading this seminar is the Leadership Institute, of Washington, D.C. These people are professionals at conservative leadership training. Everyone who has been to one of their grassroots seminars is full of enthusiasm and praise.
Cacique will soon be posting a link to a pdf flyer that you can download and distribute at any meetings in your area that you think participants might come from.
This is an opportunity. It will not come your way again. It may sound a bit like school, but it is a lot more fun than that, and way, way more important.
We have been asleep for too many years, to the point where even the word activism itself is associated with the other side. It is time to reverse-Gramsci our priceless nation, and this is the way to start, or to sharpen your already sharp skills further and learn some new ones, possibly in areas you haven't considered before.
Only 3 weeks to go to move this event forward to a resounding success!
Threats will not keep this event from happening. Rain or shine, commie stick-wagging or respect for the rights of others--either way it will take place!
Breathlessly awaiting the flyer.
Chapter members, the time is now. Let's strengthen our resources for the months and years ahead.
Freepers from the beautiful State of New Jersey. Learn more about how to get Bret elected next time around (and other things too of course).
New York State freepers: Please consider supporting this event in any way you can!
If it's too far to travel for you, consider sponsoring a local student or other freeper who finds the $70 a bit high. Thanks, Connecticut!
Okay, Pennsylvania: We'd love to have you join us. Road trip? Car-pool on your state page?
bump
Who'll join me in a demonstration and petition drive against activism?
That's very funny, breakem. Steven Wright quality or better.
Do you have a list of those who would like to attend but can not because they can't afford to do so?
Freepmail me : )
