The beheading of Nick Berg was the act of the demon possessed. The act of blood-thirsty terrorists. The act of radical Islamic jihadists. How dare his father blame the very men leading the war against such monsters.
"My son died for the sins of George Bush and Donald Rumsfeld," Michael Berg said Thursday in an interview with radio station KYW-AM. "This administration did this."
I grieve and pray for this man and his family. No one should have to suffer what they are suffering now. Hearing the news that your son has been butchered by terrorists is bad enough. Seeing and hearing the butchery on the Internet is more than any parent should have to bear. But Mr. Berg's outrage at the Bush administration is both misguided and offensive.

This is a little off the subject but can someone give me an address to the video of the actual crime committed against Berg. I have tried two I had and they did not work. Thanks.
I don't see either man backing down, no matter what the polls say.
I only buy that line to a certain point. I also find it troubling that Kerry was so quick to call on that guy when Berg is saying that Bush is equivalent to AQ.
Despite the fact that this makes his son out to be Jesus Christ (which would intimate his own delusion of self-worth), it's completely bereft of any worthwhile sentiment whatsoever. Who sent his son to Iraq, Bush? Who cut through his neck, Rumsfeld? Zarqaui (sp) and al Quaeda have been happily killing people since well before W came to national prominence.
Perhaps his father needs to face the fact that he has been protesting against people who weren't involved, all the time preaching to the world that the murderers who hacked his son to death were victims. He's the one who undoubtedly told his son that the real threat to the world was Bush and Rumsfeld and that al Quaeda was a myth 'invented in Texas.' There's the real A.N.S.W.E.R., if he has the intellectual honesty to face it.

Dont make excuses for them.
To be fair, many of those who support Bush and the war in Iraq have also turned Berg's murder into a propaganda piece. Some even think it should be " compulsory viewing ." --sheltonmac
There is a distinction between truthfully informing and propagandizing.
The Right is trying mightily to truthfully inform, trying mightily to unmask these subhuman pigs so that we will fully appreciate the magnitude of the evil confronting us.
The Left , by contrast, is propagandizing with their selected truths, exaggerations, and outright lies.
Leave the man alone. There is no describing the hell he must be going through for losing his son. Suffice to say that you and I understand the truth of the matter... and offer prayers of peace and closure for this tortured man.

Love it. . .
Then pray that he drop his stupid excuse for an ideaology and "blame" those who are actually responsible. He's a blithering idiot, in my opinion, and I'm a father of five sons and two daughters; I know what a father should be feeling.
He should be wanting to raise his right hand and sign up.......grab an M16 and kick some jihadist ass. Instead, this pantywaist is blaming his own government for his son's horrific murder.
He was a Bush supporter. I have my doubts. A Bush hater, his Dad, would not be eager or proud of telling the world his son's political preference, when it was the opposite of his, unless, it was to deflect the reall purpose of his presence in Iraq.
It kind of goes against a Bush supporter's logical thinking.
Does that make any sense?
It didn't to me neither.
