The Soviets had a name for true believing dupes like Michael Bery. It was s$#teaters. The Soviets couldn't understand how anyone from the west could support the communist system when they had such wonderful opportunity in the west.
Nick made some bad decisions but he wasn't a stooge like his father.

Of course he can --- but the minute he decided to play politics with his son's horrific death then everything is fair game. Including his activities and leftist American ideology that may have caused his son to go to Iraq the way he did ---- What is insane about Berg's accusations is that Bush had nothing to do with his son being in Iraq, he wasn't there in the military, he wasn't working for the USA, he was either working for Iraqi groups or individuals and apparently was there out of love of money --- not country. Bush never asked him to go there, to stay there or anything like that.

Sins? Does Michael Berg mean the sin of liberating over 10 million Iraqis from the brutality of Saddam Hussein?

And none of that had anything to do with why Nick Berg was over in Iraq --- at best he was there for some weird adventure or love of money. He was there by his own doing ---- our government didn't want him over there.

Nick Berg's father, Mathew Berg, deserves to be condemned as having NIck's blood, and that of every other dead American in Iraq, on his hands.

Instead of fighting the subhumans who murdered Nick and the other Americans, plus thousands of Iraquis, he's colaborated with and is collaborating with the murderers. He's an enthusiastic, active member of International A.N.S.W.E.R. ("IA"), a communist organization which actively supports America's enemies and the enemies of freedom throughout the world.

Matthew Berg signed IA's "Call to Action" of March 20, 2004 to "End colonial occupation from Iraq to Palestine." Even worse, as of May 11, 2004, IA had the following statement on its website:

"Having achieved their victory, however, the occupiers [of Iraq] now confront a people who have a long and proud history of resistance. The anti-war movement here and around the world must give its unconditional support to the Iraqui anit-colonial resistance."

"Unconditional support" means support no matter what. Matthew Berg unconditionally supported the subhumans when they hacked Nick's head off with a dull knife.

Give me a break....his son was supposedly making money in Iraq. That's the big question, what was he really there for? Was Nick stupid, naive, a little insane....an American Jew in Iraq, now that is a sure ticket of grave danger for him. The State Dept warned him (acting like his parents should have), and even offered him a free ticket out of Iraq. He refused it. So now he is dead, poor misguided young man. I'm so sorry for what happened to him. His parents however should be looking at they're selves over his death. Not the USA....

I strongly disagree with you. While this man is grieving, as a member of ANSWER his views obviously existed before this happened, and our troops are in harms way. Rumor has it he is going to travel around with Kerry .
