Hey, since you dig glam and metal so much (sarcsam) what's your opinion of Gene? I can see a bit of resemblance in the wardrobe department... ;^)
I've always had a soft spot for KISS. Much like AC/DC, it's a mostly-mindless fun band, and it's accessible without being lame. KISS is also a very consistent band.
I remember how fascinated I was to learn that pre-band, Gene Simmons was a sixth-grade teacher. He's an intriguing guy - he speaks Hebrew, Hungarian, and German.
He also has the other three beat all to hell in wardrobe and makeup coolity.
