I thought NPR was for smart people.
You would never know it to judge by the hysterical reaction to the recent ouster of Bob Edwards, the longtime host of NPR's "Morning Edition." Angry fans, call them Bobbleheads, wrote 35,000 letters of complaint to National Public Radio; others vented to their local newspapers. "No one asked me, but here's my view," ranted one listener in a letter to the Washington Post....

Down here in Houston, I like when the local NPR affiliate has to credit Haliburton for supporting them...

35,000 letters huh?
Shall we send 70,000 thanking them for the favor and asking when we might expect de-funding of the whole leftist-propaganda "public" radio concept?

The [replacement]
male-female anchor team will be much more energetic; they may even banter with each other. The show's interview segments will be crisper, with less uninterrupted rambling by the guests. The topic selection will be more focused: fewer interviews with novelists; more segments devoted to big news stories and useful information.Good article. Thanks for posting it.

If Limbaugh fans are dittoheads, and Bob Edwards fans are bobbleheads, then does that make Air America fans airheads? :-)

There's nothing like "Morning Sedition" and "All Things Distorted," -- Thank God!

You're welcome. I thought this made a good point and was very enjoyable to read.
It does seem that a shift is happening. The traditional media outlets are waking up to the fact that they have ignored too many customers for too long.
Correction make that "Some of the traditional....."

I like the bobblehead idea. It reminds me of how all the little liberals nod their heads in unison to the beat of NPR and NYT.
Good dogs, good dogs.

Bob Edwards is no friend to conservatives/traditionalists. He ostensibly has been "balanced" on NPR. But his innuendoes and the drift of his interviews have been strictly of a liberal bent - and a rather insidious one.
