COLUMBUS, OH - Today, Bush-Cheney '04 Ohio Hispanic Chairman Juan José Perez announced the members of the state's Viva Bush Coalition at an event in the Statehouse. The Honorable Maria Hernández Ferrier was the keynote speaker.
Today's announcement follows the April national rollout of the Viva Bush Coalition in Orlando and similar regional events in Missouri, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Minnesota, and other states.
"John Kerry's support for higher taxes on Latino small business owners and middle income families is certainly not going to contribute to our on-going economic recovery. He will not be able to run from a 19-year record of standing on the wrong side of the issues that are most important to Hispanics in Ohio and across the country - from his vote against body armor for our troops to his attacks on the President's education reforms. I will work tirelessly to contrast his dismal record with Hispanics to the President's impressive record of achievement in our community," Perez said.
"President Bush is providing the strong, steady leadership this country needs during times of incredible change. I am honored to work for a President who makes the good policy choices President Bush makes - he is the clear choice for voters this November," Ferrier said.
The Ohio Viva Bush Coalition will recruit volunteers and energize Bush-Cheney '04 supporters across the state while serving as messengers of the President's positive agenda. Bush-Cheney '04 Hispanic teams are already in place in 30 states and Puerto Rico.
We need all the help we can get in Ohio. Taft is so unpopular. He is hurting Bush.
