The issue has nothing to do with FR or Salon but rather that Michael Berg signed an anti war list despite the fact that his own son disagreed with him.

THAT IS ALL AND IT and to make anything other is a shame.

I'm neither a card carrying liberal or conservative, I stand politically as a mugwump. I consider calling supporters against the war in Iraq enemies, is as evil as the ideals and practices of the real enemy that we hate, such as the Taliban. What is America? It's the right to hold your own opinion and not be considered an enemy, and not be persecuted by your fellow man and neighbor. It's the Taliban, and like minded, that censor thought, not Americans. And it's the Taliban mindset that actually strike out. Let's not become the same as our enemy.

Talk about asking the editor to remove air-headed ideals. Calling Americans who think differently then ourselves enemies, by that standard, should have been redacted by the editor before it reached the public eye, where zealots could pick up on it, and possibly cause the death of an American. Anyone that had a part in it, even idealogically, should hang their head in shame. That is not the American way.

Loose lips, sink ships....

And they called us conspiracy nuts for calling The Rapist a rapist. We truly live in a parallel universe.

Is there any source for the "pro-war" views of Nick Berg aside from the statement to that effect by his leftie father? Is it possible that the father lied about this in pursuit of his (the father's) anti-Bush agenda?
