Nick Berg Death *WORSE* Than Video - Throat Cutting Scene Edited
Nick Berg Video | May 12, 2004 | UnbelievingScumOnTheOtherSide

Posted on 05/12/2004 8:51:08 AM PDT by UnbelievingScumOnTheOtherSide

A few seconds after Nick Berg is pushed over and the knife put to his neck the clock skips from 2:44:12 to 2:45:47 during the throat cutting. 1:35 of clumsy hacking and screaming were edited out. Islam requires a sharp knife and quick kill but this was not.

The sound runs 5 to 7 seconds ahead of the video. That is why the yelling starts before anyone moves. The reader audibly clears his throat at 2:42:32 but covers his mouth at 2:42:38.

Like I said in a earlier post, the are 28 different clips in this video, the voice and frames are out of sync.

Until someone confirms that the actual person in the video is Nick. I will still wonder if some poor Islamic person went to see Allah, just to make a video.

I would guess that they did positively ID'd the body, before they announce it to the world.

I am a woman, and I watched it, I think mainly because I want to know what mainstream media won't tell me. The first thought I had was that these animals were not doing this in "retaliation" for the prison abuse, that was just an excuse, that unfortunately, America seems to be buying.
Another thought I had was...getting past the point that the prison abuse was a bad thing...what in the HELL were pictures taken for? Like no one knows the libs are just salivating over the chance to leak these pics? We could have avoided prisoner abuse issues entirely if we just took no prisoners. Shoot them all, and there are no prisoners to concern ourselves with. Another thought, one which may not be PC, is that Berg had no good reason to be in Iraq. As a Jew myself, I do not understand why he would put himself in that position. A war zone is no place to be "looking for work" and a war zone in the middle east is no place for a Jew by himself. This is NOT to say he deserved his fate! He certainly did not, but for lack of basic common sense, he put himself in harm's way, and now his family blames the U.S.
My son just got back from Iraq. Unfortunately, because he got a new duty assignment when he reenlisted, he will be returning there within 6 months. My advice to him the first time was "be careful" This time, my advice will be "If it is a question of "Him or You" or "him or your Buddy", make sure it is HIM!"

i think this is essentially correct. at what point do we say enough is enough. i truly believed at the end of fighting we should have arrested all iraqi men of fighting age, imprisoned then temporarily and scoured the cities for weapons, (as was done in germany ww2). then released them slowly over time while a government was being established. we have gotten so timid and afraid of critism that we have become ineffective. we need to unite against this new enemy. the doctrine of preemption was forced upon us to deal with this. bush was absolutely correct. now we must finish the job and seperate those that want to join the modern peaceful countries, and eliminate those that dont. we should demonstrate once and for all that terrorism gets you nothing. crush them now.

absolutely. i would go further and force the iraqi people to police their own. if an american is murdered i would burn the entire city to the ground and let nobody out. and send those videos to al jazeera. and then promise to give their land to israel...ha. watch how fast that would end.

I went to this site and saw the still photos. It is obvious that there were two cameras. However it is not an 11 hour time difference. The camara with the 2:40 approx time stamp shows one of the holding up the severed head. The one with the 13:00 approx. time stamp shows the decapitation process so the best conclusion is that one of the cameras had the time wrong OR one of the cameras was from outside of Iraq and different time zone. http://pictures.albawaba.com/nickBerg.html

because they stopped videoing and then started back 11 hours later.

They had to answer the 5 daily calls to Islamic prayer. They wouldn't want to be sinners, now.

Thanks for posting that informative link and your observations.

I had stopped watching the video after his head had been completely severed and removed. I did not need to watch them defile his corpse.

Since the camera one contains the angle used to show his head being held high (and then it cuts BACK to camera 2 for the shot of his head in his lap) it is very clear that there are 2 cameras.

My first response when I saw the video (and the screams went out of synch) was that after 5 minutes of arabic, I was in no shape to tell if the sound had gone out of synch or not. If you do not have the proper codecs installed and you are viewing video files, you can get jerky motion, sound synch problems, audio with no video, video with no audio, etc.

Also if you do not have good compression, you can get sound synch problems.

It was obvious from the get go that they were not using digital camcorders (which would have aided greatly in publishing this video to the web).

I don't say this to be morbid or to have an aire of detachment. I say this because they were my logical observations. As I say, I care enough that I didn't watch every second of the video (I still haven't run it a second time).

If the networks HAD aired the full video, there would be far less speculation about "why the clock jumps" (everyone would see it jump back to the proper time).

If you are trying to annaylize it, of course it is necessary. Close your eyes if you want. Others are trying to see what they can learn. And I think it is a rather significant detail if in fact the video was edited to make the killing look quicker than it actually was.

I'm a woman. I watched it. It digusted me more than anything I've ever seen before in my life. And as I walked downstairs I said to my republican boyfriend, "Ok, I'm ready to use the nukes." I also noticed something funny about the times, but didn't want to rewatch it to figure it out. It infuriates me that his tortuous death took any longer than that video. Is it possible that the first news group that posted the video did the editing?

The figiting oaf on the right side was possibly more annoying that having to sit through the 4 minutes of arabic, although not by much.

When I heard all of the talking that was going on I was pissed because only a small fraction was reported, but after reading a translation I know now why only a small fraction was reported. It made no sense.

Although you really couldn't see his face well it seemed that Nick wasn't really aware of what was about to happen to him. He probably thought it was a ransom video or something. So, that gave me a small comfort.

Anyways, this isn't for everyone. It does show you who we are dealing with. A bunch of psychopaths who are hiding behind religion so that they can establish a large non-educated following to assist them in furthering their murderous plots.

I'm ready for the nukes.

Giving them precisely what they want. Good plan.

Exactly. This butchering, much like the ambush and desecration of the Blackwater guys, is designed to provoke an overreaction.
