May 12, 2004 -- WASHINGTON - A young American contractor in Iraq was mercilessly beheaded by Islamic terrorists on a horrifying videotape released yesterday as so-called revenge for the abuse of Iraqi prisoners. The sickening video, posted on an al Qaeda-linked Web site, shows a killer identified as terror boss Abu Musab Zarqawi sawing off the head of a screaming Nick Berg.

Yup. I've always said that Bush's biggest mistake was his soft-soaping islam by calling it a "religion of peace," and by saying our war was not against islam but against terrorism. Sorry, but they very much appear to be one and the same. Bush should have at LEAST said our war was against RADICAL islam. But giving islam in general a pass on this was a HUGE mistake.

This is all so much for me to take. I don't know very much about Mr. Berg. But I imagine what it must have been like to be sitting there, bound, and knowing that a horrific death is moments away. Or what it must have been like to be one of the people in the room or even to be the one committing the act- I can't even type it out. These people have so much hatred inside of them. It is hard to comprehend. I think the madness of this world is finally getting to me. My heart is so heavy. I pray for a day when we can all live in peace. But I don't see that day coming any time soon.

Beheading is a moslem hobby and plesant diversion. Bosnia produced lots of pictures of moslems walking around carrying the heads of Serbs, men and women. Indonesia has produced such pictures. There are pix from Afghanistan and Pakistan and I remember great numbers of them from Algeria during the French war there.
