Islamic Web site claims revenge killing Video shows beheading of man identified as AmericanBREAKING NEWS The Associated Press Updated: 1:28 p.m. ET May 11, 2004CAIRO, Egypt - A video posted Tuesday on an Islamic militant Web site showed a group affiliated with al-Qaida beheading an American civilian in Iraq, saying the death was revenge for the abuse of Iraqi prisoners by American soldiers.

The video showed five men wearing headscarves and black ski masks, standing over a bound man in an orange jumpsuit similar to a prisoners uniform who identified himself as Nick Berg, a U.S. contractor whose body was found on a highway overpass in Baghdad on Saturday.
My name is Nick Berg, my fathers name is Michael, my mothers name is Susan, the man said on the video. I have a brother and sister, David and Sarah. I live in ... Philadelphia.
After reading a statement, the men were seen pulling the man to his side and putting a large knife to his neck. A scream sounded as the men cut his head off, shouting Allahu Akbar! God is great. They then held the head out before the camera.
Berg was a small-business owner from the Philadelphia suburbs, his family said Tuesday.

The killers cannot even show their faces. What a bunch of Pu**ies. It is digusting and uncivilized to equate killing one of ours because a few of theirs were humiliated.

Well, as sorry as I am for the man's death at least now perhaps some of the sympathy for the prisoners may let up. It was really dumb for the terrorist to do this, they had everything going for them by pretending to be the victim. I belive this will cause America to unify again.
All I can say to the terrorist is ... Man you guys are idiots!

How will the dems spin this? The left is already deflecting blame for the beheading to Bush. DU has a new tinfoil conspiracy going full bore right now that because the victim was wearing an orange jumpsuit, he was actually a prisoner of the US military in Iraq and we killed him to silence knowledge of more prison humiliation. Followed by more of the usual "Oh my GOD! I hate Bush so much! He is truly evil!" No blame at all on the animals who did the deed.
I swear if we get a lefty administration this November, I'm going to move them to Canada or France. In orange jumpsuits.

Dear Lord, please may this man's family find peace, may his soul enter heaven and may justice be served upon those that did this.
Lord hear our prayer.

I think it may unify some but the media and the dems will go full force after Nick Berg's father for interviews. I would bet the house that Katie Couric and co. will interview this sad father any chance they can. He is an ANSWER member and has already blamed the US government for his sons death. The guy sees five men behead his son yet they are not at fault.
Media will jump all over this because the Father says it's Bush's Fault.

Let's see... flayed bodies strewn around, a city in siege, decapitation... why haven't we done the obvious yet?

Isn't that amazing? An American dies, and their only concern is that we or the military will become more agressive?
The terrorists made a huge blunder, and they've just given us the momentum and a reason to hit them harder. They did not break our resolve through this act; they strengthened it. Now we've got a shot in the arm, moving from fighting in principle to fighting in principled anger.
This was a concrete example as to why the War on Terror is right and necessary. I hope we hit them so hard that those who live through the coming bombing can't see straight.
Don't mess with America.

Sent to CBS a while ago.
CBS,
Hope the ratings for your news program 60 Minutes was worth the torture and execution of this innocent contractor, because it is going to cost you. From this point forward, I will never watch ANY program on CBS ever again .. and will soon be sending emails to your main sponsors.
GOODBYE SURVIVOR !
GOODBYE CSI !
GOODBYE MISSING WITHOUT A TRACE !
GOODBYE EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND !
Since I will no longer be viewing your programming. Let me leave you with some suggestions for next years schedule.
Perhaps a SURVIVOR series featuring captured contractors being held by Muslim radicals in Iraq. Every week the hostages can select one member for beheading. I know this will mean canceling the planned SURVIVOR - Abu Ghraib, but given recent events ..it might be in good taste not to flame hatred against Americans.
MISSING WITHOUT A TRACE has many potential storylines. You could portray numerous stories investigating the 100,000 or so dead people butchered under Saddam Hussein. This could even lead into a CSI episode. Once the bodies are found, they could explore how they died in those mass graves while under United Nations supervision.
EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND ! Except in this episode, there is a twist. Raymond is in Iraq and Muslim fanatics want to kill him. An unknown news station (insinuate Fox News) has released torture photos during "sweeps week" and inflamed hatred against all-things American (Be sure to omit all references to ongoing internal investigation by the military as this might make audience question why photos are being released to public .. especially during time of war). Raymond is then captured .. tortured .. and executed in a grisly death that forces his young twin sons to vow revenge against the men responsible - George Bush and Donald Rumsfield.
Of course all of this could be forgotten if the head of CBS would give a public apology to Nick Berg and any future soldiers / contractors killed due to your broadcasts. CBS should also make a sizable donation to the grieving families - at least match what Saddam used to give to the families of suicide bombers.

I hope that we are poised to hit them with all our might should they kill thousands of Americans again on our soil.

NPR was busy exploiting Mr. Berg this morning. He's blaming the govt. for his son's murder, suing Rumsfeld and the govt., and feels that the Patriot Act is useless and antiAmerican. Terrorists aren't really a threat here. He equated them with the communist menace of the fifties, which he didn't believe was real. He's not responsible for his thoughts right now, of course, and I pray the family finds peace. He seems to be in the grip of the Spanish voter point of view. Appease them, and they're not a threat. I hope we avenge his son's murder and soon. Despite what Mr. Berg thinks, you cannot appease people like this. They're a bunch of murderous thugs, no more, no less. If they set up shop in Mr. Berg's town, he'd want them punished. NPR should be ashamed of themselves.

If they won't give up the information right there on the street, f'm. Blow their heads off. Take several of them at a time up in a chopper and ask them politely "do you want to talk or leave"?
To: sarasota
I think we are. I want them to lose the will to carry out an attack before it happens, though.

Nobody in the media mentions what they did to Daniel Perle, whose only sin was his Jewish faith.
